I don’t think there’s too much to say about this song. It’s just simple and beautiful and if you don’t love it too then there’s something wrong with you.
I Am Kloot are a funny band though. Their albums are stuffed with bittersweet songs, full of minor chord melancholy. And then there’s the occasional love song that pops up, full of such bruised tenderness it almost catches in your throat. They’ve been critically acclaimed since they released their first album 10 years ago and have been tipped to cross over into the mainstream many times. It never seems to happen though. And as long as it doesn’t, songwriter John Bramwell will continue to turn out wonderfully sarky, barbed and intimate records that are cherished by a few.
